OWNERS
Cody Sperber
Cody Sperber (AKA the “Clever Investor”) is an entrepreneur, author, philanthropist, and real estate mentor. Widely acclaimed as one of the most successful real estate investors and leading educators in the U.S. today, Cody leverages his vast residential real estate development experience to create opportunities for Green Elephant’s clientele.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, Sperber attended Arizona State University. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance with an emphasis in Accounting. He founded Clever Investor, LLC in 2010, earning attention from Inc. 5000, AZCentral.com, and Comparably. As an industry thought leader, Sperber is best known for his use of highly creative strategies, innovative thinking, and an uncanny ability to generate buyer and seller leads at will.
Bryant Aplass
As CEO, Bryant Aplass has set the course for Green Elephant Development to become one of the housing industry’s leaders in green innovation. This passion for sustainability is reflected in our philosophies, designs, and materials as well as our community philanthropy. It’s also how we got our name: Green Elephant Development gives back a percentage of all proceeds to help protect wild elephants and support land conservation efforts.
Garrett Schmidt
Garrett Schmidt brings over 20 years of leadership and management experience to all of Green Elephant Development’s project management endeavors. Garrett began working in construction and real estate investment in 2016, forming Green Elephant Development in 2018. Since then, he has worked on and managed home renovation projects on over 35 homes—from light cosmetic remodels to rebuilds and additions.
A native of Morgan Hill, CA, Garrett went to college in San Luis Obispo, CA before transferring to Rochester, NY. There he played collegiate soccer at Rochester Institute of Technology while earning his degree in print management. Garrett developed extensive management and leadership experience after completing his degree by building three successful Buffalo Wild Wings franchises throughout the Valley. In his role as Green Elephant’s general contractor, his attention to detail ensures that renovation projects are completed correctly the first time.
